What is Personal Budgeting?

Personal Budgeting allows people to have choice and control about how their support is provided.

Watch our animation below to find out how Personal Budgeting works.

Personal budgets can be available for people with a long-term condition such as a learning disability or mental health need. They are a sum of money given to you from your local Council, if you are eligible to receive support and care from them. The money you receive is then controlled by you, to buy the services and support that best suits your individual needs.
